USA IOM Registration

IOM Class Rule.  The last two digits of your hull registration number are also your sail number.  Example.  Hull Registration USA1234 – Sail Number 34.

Hull Registration, Ownership Change or Personal Sail Number?

​

Hull Registration New Boat: If you have a favorite sail number check the available hull numbers here (must be logged in to view) to see if a hull number is available with the last two digits of your preferred sail number.  If you have no preferred number the registrar will issue a number.  The registration fee is $10 which also includes the eventual issuing of a Certificate of Measurement. An invoice from SQUARE will be sent.  Payment is done online.  Email registrariom.usa@gmail.com with the following information:

  • Your Name

  • Boat Design

  • Preferred Hull Number or Any Number

  • AMYA Member Number

  • State you reside in (AMYA Region)

Ownership Change: If transferring ownership of a boat with a Measurement Certificate the buyer can fill out the New Owner information on the Certificate and send a photo or scan of the document to registrariom.usa@gmail.com.  If transferring ownership of a USA registered hull without a Measurement Certificate send an email to registrariom.usa@gmail.com with the following information:

  • Previous Owner’s Name

  • Boat Design

  • Hull Registration Number (Displayed on the deck, not the Builder’s Hull Number inside the hull)

  • AMYA Member Number

  • State you reside in (AMYA Region)

 

The fee for the transfer of ownership is $10.  An invoice from SQUARE will be sent.  Payment is made online.

 

Personal Sail Number (PSN):  Sailors requesting a PSN have an obligation to participate in a minimum of one ranking regatta over the three year license period. PSNs are two digit numbers only.  Available PSNs can be found here (must be logged in to view).  The 3 year license fee is $50.  To request a PSN email registrariom.usa@gmail.com.  IOM USA PSN policy document can be found here.
